Nigerian chef and culinary groundbreaker, Hilda Baci, has expressed deep gratitude to her team, brand partner Gino, and supporters after Guinness World Records officially certified her for cooking the largest serving of Nigerian-style jollof rice.

Sharing a video of the live certification moment, Hilda reflected on the journey, emphasizing that the historic record was not just hers but a collective victory:

“This moment isn’t just mine, it belongs to Gino and to all of us. This Guinness World Record was built on unity, love, and collective strength.”

The feat, which produced an astonishing 8,780 kg of jollof rice, equivalent to over 16,000 plates, was powered by nine hours of teamwork, over 1,200 kg of gas, and countless hands stirring, packing, and serving.

Hilda praised her “tireless team that worked day and night” and credited Gino for creating the platform that made the attempt possible.

“We made history together—for Nigeria, for Africa, and for everyone who believes in the power of food to bring us closer”, she added.

Already known for her record-breaking cooking marathon in 2023, Hilda continues to shine as a cultural ambassador, using her craft to celebrate Nigerian cuisine on the world stage.
