Social Media Buzzes Over Yhemolee’s ₦2M Row
Nollywood actor and nightlife personality Yhemolee has opened up about a dramatic encounter with four women who accosted him outside a wedding, alleging he owed them ₦2 million from an event nearly a year ago.
In a Snapchat post shared on his page, the entertainer described the scene as chaotic, explaining that the women confronted him beside his car and attempted to create a spectacle by recording the incident.
“Before I knew it, one don say Oya tan camera, and they started shouting and recording”, Yhemolee wrote, adding that while he initially found the situation amusing, he had to restrain himself from reacting angrily.
The actor claimed he had already settled part of the debt, paying ₦5 million the following morning after the original party, and even provided the contact of the person responsible for their balance.
Yhemolee also used the incident to reflect on what he described as “unhinged hate” that poor people sometimes direct toward the wealthy.
According to him, fame and comfort can make one an easy target, with any dispute quickly amplified in public.
“The twist is if I take action and they get arrested… it will go as if he’s oppressing them” he noted, suggesting that celebrities often face scrutiny regardless of the context.
