Nollywood star Bolanle Ninalowo has expressed shock after a fraudster impersonated him to defraud a woman of a staggering ₦33 million.
According to a petition filed by the victim’s lawyers, the suspect, identified as Bolanle Azeez, posed as the actor on TikTok and convinced the woman, Mrs. Victoria Yemisi Ayano, to send money under the guise of personal and business support.
The victim reportedly transferred funds in tranches, believing she was assisting the actor. In total, ₦33 million was lost before she discovered it was a scam.
Reacting on Instagram, Ninalowo exclaimed:
“This one loud ooo! N33 million for wetin? Even Nollywood no dey pay me like that!”
The case has sparked outrage online, with many calling for stricter action against online impersonators who target celebrities’ identities to defraud unsuspecting fans.
