Sabrina: I was barred from returning to BBNaija

Sabrina, a housemate in Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) season 10, says she was prevented from returning to the show despite being certified medically fit.
The 32-year-old, who had been unwell for some time, informed her fellow housemates on Monday that she would be stepping away from the competition to seek proper medical treatment.
The show’s organisers confirmed her departure in a statement, revealing that she had consulted with Big Brother and the on-site medical team before the decision was made.
During an Instagram live session on Sunday, Sabrina said she had expected to return after undergoing a series of medical tests.
The reality star explained that she was elated when doctors told her she was fine, believing it meant she would rejoin the show.
She added that she was kept in the dark for five days without access to her phone or media while waiting for clearance to return.
Sabrina said she was eventually informed on Friday that she would not be allowed back on the show.
“After exiting, I was transported to a hospital and led to a gynaecologist. He examined the same day. An admission was then asked by the clinic. On Tuesday, I was told all results were unremarkable. Nothing was wrong with me. I was told I was fine,” she said.
“I was elated because I believed it meant I would be on my way back to the journey I started. I was told to hold on. So I did, with no outside communication or interaction.
“I prayerfully longed for a call that would confirm my return, but days passed and nothing.
“On Friday, I received what I consider one of the most excruciating calls of my life. On the call, I was told, ‘I have the unfortunate task of telling you that you would no longer be returning to the show. ’
“I received the call while in the hospital waiting for the next thing. I waited for five days. Do I want to come back? Of course, yes.
“I don’t think my journey has ended. I miss Kola as much as he misses me, I miss the lights, I miss diary sessions, I haven’t worn half of the clothes I brought in.”
