I was attracted to my wife on first day despite having girlfriend – Seun Kuti

Despite having a girlfriend, Afrobeats singer Seun Kuti admits that he was attracted to his wife Yetunde on the first day they met.

The 41-year-old made the comments during an interview with Morayo Afolabi and the ladies of TVC’s Your View breakfast show.

The Afrobeat singer and his wife appeared on the show on Monday.

When asked when he started seeing his wife differently despite their age difference, Seun said: “I had a girlfriend but when I met her I was kinda attracted to her.”

“Even though you had a girlfriend,” Yetunde interrupted.

“I played hard to get, I tried, at that point I think I was seeing someone he knew,” the 36-year-old added.

“I was in the blind here oh! Me, I was toasting her not knowing she was seeing somenone I knew and that why she was playing hard to get and I didn’t know the full story,” Seun Kuti interupted back.

Seun and Yetunde have been together for more than 15 years.

Their daughter Adara turned nine in December 2023.
