Many of my talentless colleagues hide behind Afrobeats – Ruggedman
Rapper Ruggedman says that many of his talentless colleagues hide behind Afrobeats.
The 50-year-old stated this during an interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo.
A sample of the conversation was uploaded on Instagram on Friday, with Ruggedman suggesting that many individuals hide behind the African music genre.
“When you ask me what Afrobeats is, I’ll tell you Afrobeats is what a lot of talentless people hide behind,” he said.
Born Michael Stephen, the rapper is a Nigeria police ambassador.
He began his music career in 1999 and released two songs in the same year.
His record label, Rugged Records, signed its first act, singer MBRYO, in September 2012.
