Muyiwa Ademola devasted as he visits Ibadan explosion scene

Muyiwa Ademola, an actor, described the explosion scene in Ibadan’s Bodija district as terrible.

The filmmaker, who posted a video of himself at the site, confirmed this in an Instagram message on Wednesday.

He wrote: “It was such a devastating one. It is another thing to see it on the internet or on TV, the feeling is totally different at the actual place. Many lives were lost, properties lost, hope dashed! May The Almighty never let us witness this kind of calamity in our lands again.

“To the families of the bereaved, the entire people of Oyo state especially Ibadan land, may The Almighty gives us the fortitude to bear this.

“Well done to the Oyo state government, the rescue operators, the Nigerian army, the policemen, the Road safety corps, the Amotekuns, the firefighters… all are steadily on ground! Kudos!!”

The Ibadan-based actor had earlier declared himself safe from the explosion in an Instagram post in which he also prayed for the victims of the tragic incident.
