If i am expected to go nude in a film the script must justify it – Ireti Doyle
Ireti Doyle, a veteran Nollywood actress, writer, presenter and producer, has said there are roles she wouldn’t play in a movie.
Featuring as a guest in the Christmas edition of The Teams and Condition Podcast by Pulse, the thespian said she refusing to play a particular role in movies has nothing to do with nudity.
Ireti said that if the script doesn’t justify the role then she would not play it.
She said: “If I am expected to go nude in a film then the script will have to justify it. If it was for sheer sensationalization or click bait… absolutely not.”
“If it is about rape or abuse and it is something required, I am sure we can work a middle ground and we get the best way to interpret the story.”
