Celine Dion loses control of her muscles amid battle with rare illness

Celine Dion, a famous Canadian singer, has lost use of her muscles due to Stiff Person Syndrome, or SPS.

In December 2022, the 55-year-old singer stated that she had been diagnosed with an incurable condition that causes muscles to stiffen involuntarily.

Also, in August 2023, during an interview with Le Journal de Montreal, the songstress’ elder sister, Claudette Dion, stated that Celine is yet to find any medicine that works to help combat her SPS.

Giving an update on Celine’s health on Monday, her 75-year-old sister Claudette told 7 Jours, per Daily Mail, that the singer had lost control of her muscles.

“She’s working hard, but she no longer has control over her muscles. What breaks my heart is that she’s always been disciplined.

“Some people have lost hope because it’s all illness that isn’t well known,” she said.
