I’m disappointed – Illbliss slams Phenom for ‘disrespecting’ Mode9

Illbliss, a Nigerian hip-hop artist, has slammed colleague, Phenom, for making a “disrespectful” remark about veteran rapper Mode9.

Recall that Phenom stated in the latest episode of The Yarns Podcast that “I don’t see Mode9 as someone I want to be like.”

Reacting via his Instagram page, Illbliss said Phenom’s comment was “disrespectful” and “utter disregard” for a legend who contributed immensely to the hip-hop culture in Nigeria.

He wrote, “Even Phyno would never disrespect the Hiphop pioneers that came before him, with phantoms parked in his garage. Really truly disappointed Phenom. Mode9 is a living legend, alive and well, incredibly decorated and respected for his contributions to Hiphop culture. I hate the disregard!”
