Olori Tobi celebrates first wedding anniversary with Ooni
Olori Tobi Phillips-Ogunwusi, one of the wives of the Ooni of Ife Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, has penned a note in celebration of her first wedding anniversary to the first-class monarch.
The queen shared photos of herself and her husband on Instagram on Monday, noting that it has been 365 days of grace.
Olori Tobi married the Ooni on Sunday, October 9, 2022.
“365days of Grace and a Lifetime To Go ???? Happy 1st Anniversary to Us My King @ooniadimulaife, she wrote.
Her fans, friends and Instagram followers have been sending her congratulatory messages since she made the post.
Olori Tobi is a former beauty queen and graduate of marine science from the University of Lagos.
The former World Miss University Africa is said to have dated the Ooni for six years.
In an interview on TVC’s Your View show in December 2022, Olori Tobi, the youngest of Ooni’s wives, revealed that before she got married to the monarch, they dated and broke up once before reuniting.
She said, “Somebody just called me one day and said would you like to get married to the Ooni of Ife? I was like, what’s that? And then he introduced us.
“Of course. I wouldn’t be here today if I didn’t love him. I always promised myself that I would marry who I love. So it’s not like I didn’t have suitors, but there are some values I would want in who I want to be with. And he has that. That’s why I’m here.
“I didn’t take it seriously because I was like, ok, so what is going on? But then we met and started dating, but there was so much interference, and then we didn’t get married. That was quite devastating for me.”
