Davido makes history as first African artiste to perform at PFA Awards
On Tuesday night, famous Nigerian singer David Adeleke, aka Davido, made history by becoming the first African artist to perform at the Professional Footballers’ Association Awards in England.
The ‘Unavailable’ singer performed as an interlude before the night’s biggest awards were announced at Manchester’s Lowry Theatre.
On Wednesday, he took to Twitter to celebrate his historic performance.
He wrote, “Thank you @PFA for the opportunity to not only attend such a prestigious event but also perform. Music and sports have always gone great together and we proved that again last night! Next stop Dubai @cocacolaarena.”
Recall that Davido performed at the FIFA World Cup closing ceremony in Qatar last year.
