Socialite Farida Sobowale of House of Phreeda attempts to take own life in Lagos

Farida Sobowale of House of Phreeda was rescued after attempting to jump into the Lagos lagoon from the Third Mainland Bridge.

On Thursday night, Sobowale drove her Lexus SUV to the bridge, alighted, and was about to jump into the lagoon when she was rescued by some men.

A video which has gone viral on social media captured the married socialite dressed in black weeping as she was held by some men.

Following that, she was reportedly taken to a police station.

This comes amid reports that Sobowale’s lavish wedding to Demola in Lagos two months ago had ended.

On Thursday evening, Sobowale posted a video in Yoruba pleading with her husband, a woman named Larrit with whom she has been feuding, and the public in general. She has since removed the video.
