Trinity Guy regains freedom from prison
Abdullahi Maruff Adisa, popularly known as Trinity Guy, a Nigerian comedian, has been released from prison.
The police were said to have invited the skit creator in relation to a prank video that featured a minor, according to earlier reports.
He was then remanded to the Agodi prison by a Family Court sitting in Iyaganku, Ibadan, Oyo State.
Along with the skit creator, it also charged and remanded Isiaka Ahmed, 40, and his wife Rofiat, 29, who are the victim’s parents, on two counts of conspiracy and sexual abuse and exploitation.
Abdugalfar Abiola, also known as Cute Abiola and a fellow skit creator, made the announcement of Trinity Guy’s release on Friday night on his Instagram page.
Writing in broken English, he posted, “@iamtrinityguy is finally free on Bail. I am wishing you all the best brother. May Almighty Allah keep guiding you to the right path, Amen. Welcome back! Welcome back! My guy don pray tire see his forehead.”
Yoruba movie maker, Lizzy Anjorin also shared the picture of Trinity Guy with a caption celebrating and thanking God for his bail.
“OLORUN SEUN ???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????? OMO OLOGO GBERAAAAAA @iamtrinityguyz,” she posted.
Meanwhile, efforts to reach the Oyo State Police Public Relations Officer, Osifeso Adewale, proved abortive as he did not pick up his calls or reply to texts as of the time of filing this report.
