Why I started mimicking Davido – Skit maker, Nasboi

Lawal Michael Nasiru Bolaji, aka Nasboi, a popular skit maker and musician, has revealed why he began his career by impersonating Davido.

Nasboi, who rose to prominence as “Low Budget OBO” on the Nigerian entertainment scene, claimed he was impersonating the DMW CEO in order to catch his attention.

The comedian stated this lately during an interview segment on MTV Base Naija Top 10.

He stated that his goal was to catch Davido’s attention and demonstrate his musical talent to him.

He said, “I started off mimicking Davido. So, the plan was to get David’s attention for my music. I disturbed this guy till he invited me one day and I started playing my music.”

On why he became a skit maker, Nasboi said, “It [my mimics of Davido] started looking like cruise to everybody. So, I said, okay, let’s jump on it. That’s how I jumped on it and it started looking like it demanded for me to start making skits. So, I had no option than to make skits.”
