How Nollywood showed the world Nigerian entertainment – Omotola

Omotola Jalade Ekeinde, popularly known as Omosexy, a veteran Nigerian actress, has stated that Nollywood introduced the Nigerian entertainment industry to the world long before Afrobeats.

Omotola made the announcement in an Instagram post on Thursday, reminiscing about her impact on Nollywood and the world before the advent of social media.

She also shared old movie clips with some of her industry colleagues as proof of introducing Nollywood to the world before the rise of afrobeats.

Sharing the videos which had Rita Dominic, Genevieve Nnaji and Stella Damasus in them, Omotola said someone sent her the videos and it was nostalgic.

She wrote: “Someone sent me some of these vids and it was nostalgic, lol.

“Despite the not-so-great quality, No social media, these movies Broke barriers. Way Before Afrobeats We introduced Nigerian Entertainment to the World. We took on the World. we still.
