David Adeleke, better known by his stage name Davido, is a Nigerian afrobeats superstar who recently revealed that his third studio album, “A Better Time,” cost him $2 million (roughly 1 billion naira).

During one of his media tours for his new album “Timeless” in the US, Davido made this revelation.

The boss of the 30 Billion Gang said during an interview on the Ebro in the Morning Show on Hot 97FM in New York that the sum included features, videos, and promotions.

He said he sent just $300,000 on his latest album ‘Timeless’, and he has already made more money from the investment than his last album.

He said, “My last album, I will tell you, I probably spent $2 million. That is for everything. You know what I’m saying?

“I haven’t even spent $300k on this album [Timeless]. And I made more already in three days. It just shows me the level of where African music is going.”

Davido’s third studio album ‘A Better Time’ was released in 2020 with guest features from American heavyweights such as Nicki Minaj, Chris Brown, Young Thug, Lil Baby, and Summer Walker.
