I personally don’t believe the 2023 elections were credible – Davido
David Adeleke better known by his stage name Davido has in a recent media tour revealed his thoughts on the recently concluded Nigeria’s general elections.
The music icon who yesterday dropped his long-awaited fourth album, “Timeless” and is known for speaking his mind stated that the recently held election was not credible.
ER recalls that Nigerians took to the polls 25th of February for the presidential elections; where Bola Ahmed Tinubu was declared the winner by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, while 18th of March – voters took to the polls to vote for governors and State House of Assembly members- the process were marred by pockets of violence, voters intimidation, suppression, and inducements.
Davido, a PDP supporter, whose uncle is the present governor of Osun state, bared his thought saying that the most important thing was/is the safety of the people, however, it wasn’t a credible election.
The record label boss who had been on a break following the loss of his son, Ifeanyi, said that he wasn’t happy with the election process and outcome.
