Embattled American singer, Robert Kelly, also known professionally as R. Kelly, has been sentenced to another 20 years in prison.

On Thursday, U.S. District Judge Harry D. Leinenweber sentenced the 56-year-old to 20 years in prison after a jury found him guilty of child pornography and enticement of a minor.

Kelly, who was already serving a federal 30-year sentence after being found guilty in a federal trial last year on three counts of producing child pornography and three counts of enticing a minor to engage in criminal sexual activity, was found guilty of sexual molestation of a minor.

The prosecution was able to produce concrete video evidence showing the R&B singer sexually abusing his 14-year-old goddaughter in the latest guilty verdict, according to the New York Times. The evidence was sufficient to persuade the jury to convict him.

Yesterday, US District Judge Harry D. Leinenweber sentenced the 56-year-old to 20 years in prison, 19 of which would be served concurrently with his earlier sentence, rather than the 25-year sentence sought by the prosecutors.

The remaining one year would be served consecutively, or after that sentence is completed.

“Robert Kelly is a serial sexual predator who, over the course of many years, specifically targeted young girls and went to great lengths to conceal his abuse of Jane and other minor victims. To this day, and even following the jury verdict against him, Kelly refuses to accept responsibility for his crimes,” the prosecutors argued.

The father-of-three remained silent from almost the entirety of the sentencing hearing and also refused to speak on his own behalf.
