Singer B-red reveals next action as Tribunal sacks his dad Adeleke, declares Oyetola as Osun Governor
Adebayo Adeleke, better known by his stage name B-Red, a Nigerian singer, has addressed the Osun State election petition tribunal’s decision to remove his father Ademola Adeleke from office as governor of the Southwest State.
By a vote of two to one, the tribunal, presided over by Justice Tertse Kume, decided that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) should cancel Adeleke’s certificate of return and give it to former governor Gboyega Oyetola instead.
Justice Tertse claims that INEC did not substantially abide by the Electoral Act’s rules and the constitution.
The Osun state governor, Adeleke, in his reaction, vowed to challenge the ruling at the Court of Appeal.
Adeleke’s son, B-Red, also took to his Instagram story, to question the verdict of the Osun election petition tribunal.
While urging his dad’s supporters to remain calm, B-Red reteirated that his dad will appeal the judgement at the Court of Appeal, noting that his father remained the rightful winner of the July 16 election.
He wrote;
“Two judgements issued today at the tribunal. One in favor of PDP. Nothing changed. Sen. Ademola Adeleke remains the governor of Osun state.
We move to the appeal court Peace be still. The mandate of Osun will not be stolen H.E. Ademola Adeleke remains the Govornor of Osun state.”
