Celebrity auto dealer IVD wife’s sister mourns one month after, insists she was murdered
One month after her passing, the late wife of famous car dealer Ikechukwu Ogbonna aka IVD, Bimbo Ogbonna, was remembered on Tuesday by her sister.
Following a fire at her home in Lagos’ Megamound Estate, Lekki, Bimbo passed away on October 15 in a hospital.
According to reports, she and her husband quarreled before the fire incident. According to Bimbo’s family, IVD pushed her into the fire and stood by as she burned.
The deceased’s sister, identified as Mama Jazzz on Instagram, expressed how much she misses her.
She said, “My baby, my Bobby, Bimz it’s been a month you were murdered in cold blood. If only we could turn back the hands of time. It’s so hard to accept the fact that your aren’t here anymore, Abimbola. No one calls me Mummy J anymore. Not a day goes by that you don’t cross my mind. The day you were born, I became a sister; the day you died, you became my guardian angel. Keep watching over us, Abimbola. Justice will be served.”
Two days after Bimbo’s death, the police said IVD had been arrested and transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) in the Yaba area of the state.
“Contrary to claims by family and friends that 37-year-old Ikechukwu Ogbonna aka IVD is on the run, he has been arrested and transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Yaba,” Lagos police spokesman Benjamin Hundeyin tweeted on October 17.
The police are yet to file charges against IVD in court.
Meanwhile, Lagos State Government has requested a coroner’s inquest to ascertain the cause of Bimbo’s death.
IVD and his wife were married for 16 years and they have five children.
