UFC: Drake loses over N600m from betting on Israel Adesanya

In the early hours of Sunday, Israel Adesanya lost to Brazilian opponent Alex Pereira, and as a result, Canadian rapper Drake has suffered a monetary loss.

Drake reportedly bet CA$2,000,000 on the Nigerian mixed martial artist wanting to win CA$2,900,000. However, his plan backfired when Adesanya was submitted a few minutes before the fight’s conclusion.

Adesanya held a 3-1 advantage going into the last round, but Pereira, under clear orders from his corner to eliminate the “Last Stylebender,” did exactly that, handing him his first loss in the division and giving the Brazilian a third victory.

Sharing a screenshot of the stake on his Instagram story, the God’s Plan singer wrote: “Been focused on the album I gotta get back to stacking up”

Drake is not new to betting and losing as he had previously placed a bet on Barcelona to beat Real Madrid in October’s El Clasico. Real Madrid ran out 3-1 winners that time.
