Only God can comfort Davido, Chioma – Buhari’s aide on Ifeanyi’s death

Lauretta Onochie, President Muhammadu Buhari’s Special Assistant on Social Media, has stated that only God can console popular Nigerian singer David Adeleke, also known as Davido, and his girlfriend, Chioma.

Onochie lamented the passing of Ifeanyi, the son of Davido, as she spoke.

She said it was a painful experience losing Ifeanyi.

In a tweet, she wrote: “Dear @davido and Chioma, Losing a child is the most painful experience in life. Only God can beam his comforting light at the pains you & your families are enduring at this difficult time.

“I can’t say I understand it all. But my thoughts and prayers are with you and your families.”

According to a number of media outlets, Chioma and the DMW boss were not at home when the three-year-old drowned in their pool.

On Monday, the incident took place at Davido’s home in Banana Island.

The boy was reportedly taken by ambulance to a hospital in Lekki, where doctors declared him dead.

ENTERTAINMENT REPORTERS reports that the development has been trending on all social media platforms since 12am Tuesday morning.

It was learnt that those who were at Davido’s house when the incident happened have been arrested.

However, Davido and Chioma are yet to release any official statement regarding their son’s death.
