Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, Alex Unusual, others pay tributes to Rico Swavey at service of songs

Big Brother Naija host Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, as well as reality stars Alex Unusual, Cross, Dorathy Bachor, K Brule, and Somadina Anyama, attended the late Rico Swavey’s song service.

On Wednesday, a candlelight vigil was held at Retro Citi in Victoria Island, Lagos.

In a video from the occasion, K Brule and Somadina Anyama can be seen writing tributes to Rico and signing a register of condolences.

Rico, 30, was honored by Alex, who said he was her inspiration and that he never gets angry.

Prior to the event, another BBNaija star Khloe posted a video of her sad self on Snapchat with the caption: ” Can’t even hide my cry cry face. All black all week. I miss you Rico. Today we say prayers and lit a candle for you. Heaven couldn’t wait for you my G. Keep resting.”

Other celebrities and friends of the deceased were also present at the service of songs.

Born Patrick Adebowale Fakoya, Rico was involved in a car crash which led to him being placed on life support. He died two days after the accident on Thursday, October 13, 2022.

Rico will be buried at the Ebony Vaults in Ikoyi on Thursday October 20.
