Patrick Fakoya, also known as Rico, was hurt horribly in an accident on Wednesday. On Thursday, he passed away from his injuries.

One of the on-duty nurses recorded the former Big Brother Naija housemate as he fought for his life.

The nurses can be heard chatting after an unconscious Rico was put on oxygen while sitting in a chair. They were urged to carry Rico to the bed by one.

The footage sparked anger on social media, with members of the public demanding a probe. Some share similar experiences of negligence in Nigerian hospitals.

Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Gbenga Omotoso, announced that the authorities had commenced an investigation.
