VIDEO: Newly-wedded couple joins Peter Obi rally in Abuja

On Saturday, a newlywed couple joined supporters of Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi at a mega rally in Abuja.

The couple could be seen supporting the former governor of Anambra State in a viral video while dressed for their wedding.

Party members and Mr. Obi’s supporters praised the development.

Obi congratulated the couple in a tweet from Kano, where he traveled to see the Emir Aminu Ado Bayero.

He wrote, “Salute and congratulations to this newly wedded couple in Abuja, whose special day coincided with the Obidient Family March in Abuja; and they marched too!

“Wishing you both a blissful and happy married life and children, who will grow up in a united, secure, and productive Nigeria.”

The rally in Abuja has been described by many as the grandest among the rallies held across the country in support of Obi.

Hundreds of supporters marched from the Unity Fountain to the Moshood Abiola National Stadium.
