Nollywood stars grace launch of House 24

A new dating app for professionals, ‘House 24’ was launched in Lagos last weekend. The event attracted a number of celebrities including Denrele Edun, Lucy Edet (BBNaija), John Dumelo (Ghanaian actor), Enyinna Nwigwe and Ifeanyi Kalu.

Actress, Uru Eke, who is an ambassador for the brand, noted that she was happy partnering with the company. She said, “It is a homegrown app that is different from what is already out there. It has a feature that eliminates ‘cat fishing’.”

On his part, one of the company’s directors, Dayo Aderugbo, said, “The vacuum we felt existed is the fact that not many (dating) apps focus on professionals. This concept came up because we studied the market and realised that all apps have their advantages, so why not take the best of all the apps and put it into one. We have our own in-house algorithms that help to confirm user’s true identities.”
