An old sermon by Pastor Chris Okafor, founder of Grace Nation Bible Ministry and popularly known as the Generational Prophet, has resurfaced online and is currently stirring fresh conversations on social media.
The video, which shows the cleric speaking during a church service, began trending shortly after Nollywood actress Doris Ogala publicly accused a man identified as Chris Okafor of betraying her and proposing to another woman after allegedly promising her marriage.
In the resurfaced sermon, Pastor Chris Okafor spoke at length about marriage, submission, and character, especially as it concerns women who desire to settle down.
According to the preacher, disrespect and arrogance are major reasons some women remain unmarried, stressing that no man would willingly settle down with a woman who lacks humility.
In his words:
“You are just being arrogant to people, talking to people anyhow. You say ‘I no dey respect anybody o, I no well.’ Yet you’re a young lady, you’re not married, na you dey talk like that. Which man wan marry who no well?”
He went further, making a controversial statement about sexual history and marriage:
“Which man wan marry you when they know you have slept with different men? God forbid!”
The video resurfaced just after Doris Ogala broke down online, accusing a man she identified as Chris Okafor of emotional manipulation and betrayal.
The actress claimed she had been in a romantic relationship with him since 2017, alleging that he promised to marry her but later proposed to another woman.
In her emotional video, Doris questioned where she was expected to “start from” after everything they had allegedly shared, vowing that the new relationship would not last.
She also made more serious allegations, claiming she had been intimate with him and had an abortion for him in the past, an accusation that triggered widespread debate online.
As expected, the resurfaced sermon and Doris Ogala’s allegations have divided public opinion. While some netizens sided with the actress and questioned the pastor’s integrity, others defended the cleric and accused Doris of seeking attention.
