Nigerian singer Kizz Daniel has finally spoken out regarding the controversy surrounding his canceled concert in France, which left hundreds of fans disappointed after hours of waiting.
The concert, scheduled to hold between 7 p.m. and 11 p.m., reportedly turned chaotic after fans who had gathered as early as 4 p.m. failed to see the Buga hitmaker perform. Videos from the event showed angry fans confronting the organizers over what they described as “poor communication” and “unprofessionalism.”
In a new statement posted on social media, Kizz Daniel denied responsibility for the failed show, insisting that the problem originated from a dispute between two show promoters.
“First, this wasn’t my fault. Whatever clips y’all are seeing is a beef between the tour agent @olamidebaron and the show promoter,” he explained. “I was paid to come perform in Paris by @olamidebaron in full. He sold the show to another promoter who breached the contract by not paying the balance. I will be posting the notice of breach of contract.”
The singer further stated that he was fully prepared to travel to France, but his flight was delayed because the tour agent refused to clear his flight arrangements until payment issues were settled.
“I’ve been ready since 6 a.m. for a 12:25 p.m. flight. Thankfully, @madesope shopsydoo, my brother, was with me at the hotel. We were delayed from flying by @olamidebaron so he could get his money, which I wasn’t aware of until later. He resolved the issue with the promoter, but we couldn’t make the flight. The next available flight, according to Baron, was 5:25 p.m.”, Kizz Daniel stated.
This clarification comes few hours after videos of angry fans and event organizers confronting Kizz Daniel’s team surfaced online, sparking conversations about his reliability and professional conduct.
