“Unexpected Complications!” — Ngozi Nwosu’s Team Reveals Surgery Setback

Veteran Nollywood actress Ngozi Nwosu’s management has released a new update on her health, revealing that her recovery from surgery has been far from straightforward. Three months after the procedure, the team shared that unexpected complications have slowed her progress and left her still healing.

In a message accompanied by a video of the actress on a hospital bed, her management expressed deep gratitude for the outpouring of support she received earlier.

“Over three months ago, so many of you showed up with love, prayers, and support when she needed it most. We are still incredibly grateful for every single person who gave, shared her story, sent a message, or kept her in their prayers. Since then, she has undergone one surgery, but her recovery journey has come with some unexpected complications. While she is still healing and not quite back to herself yet, she felt it was important to come before you personally, say thank you, and let you know how things have been,” the statement read.

The team emphasized that the process remains ongoing and that they are taking it one day at a time.

“It has been a journey, and we are taking it one day at a time, trusting God for complete healing and strength for the days ahead. To everyone who has stood by her in one way or another, thank you. Your kindness has made a difference in ways words cannot fully express. As she continues on this journey, we kindly ask that you keep her in your thoughts and prayers. And for those who may still wish to support her along the way, every little gesture of kindness remains deeply appreciated.”

The latest development comes after Nwosu publicly appealed for help in late July 2026. At the time, the actress shared an emotional video from her hospital bed, explaining that she had been hospitalized for three weeks with an undisclosed ailment and urgently needed three life-saving surgeries estimated to cost ₦30 million. She pleaded with fans and colleagues not to abandon her, saying the situation had gone beyond her control.

Support poured in quickly. The Abia State Government, under Governor Alex Otti, stepped in with a donation of ₦25 million toward her treatment. Her management later confirmed that she was preparing for the first surgery and thanked the public for their generosity.
