“People Are Quick to Judge!” — Sheggz Breaks Silence Amid Bella Split

Former Big Brother Naija star Sheggz Olusemo has posted a motivational video as his public split from Bella Okagbue continues to play out online and in court filings.

In the video, Sheggz talks about seasons people do not understand and the way outsiders read a single chapter as the whole book.

“Sometimes you will go through a season that you don’t understand. Sometimes people will judge the chapter without knowing the full story. You have to let them. You can be tired, and still be grateful. You can be confused but still have faith. You can have a bad season and still have a good life,” he said.

He added that a hard day does not shrink a person.

“Some days, you can wake up feeling on top of the world; some days, you’ll feel like your whole world is crashing down. But Guess what? That doesn’t make you less of a person. You can be struggling right now, but don’t let one chapter of your story convince you of how your story ends.”

Last month he confirmed the relationship ended in January 2026 and that later attempts to fix it failed. He denied cheating and also said he is not an abuser and that he bought a ring because he believed marriage was possible. He later said he never meant to paint Bella as unfaithful and that they shared love and respect while it lasted.

Bella has given her own account. She said she loved him, stayed quiet at first, and gave him a second chance because she believed people can change. Wanting to marry him, she said, was not desperation. She also said the relationship became a string of unkept pledges.

The personal fight has moved into lawyers’ letters. Sheggz filed a defamation suit after claims that he owed Bella money. Her legal team rejected that case and alleged he obtained loans from her by false pretences and broke a promise to marry. His lawyers answered with financial records they say show he was the main provider. In later court papers reported this month, Bella’s side alleged torture, assault, and attempted murder by asphyxiation and sought billions of naira in damages.

The couple met on BBNaija Level Up in 2022 and became one of the season’s most watched pairings. Four years later, the story they are selling the public is no longer a house romance. It is a breakup, a money dispute, and two versions of why the ring never became a wedding.
