Streamer Carter Efe has thrown a fresh boxing challenge at Wizkid, claiming his old tribute track Machala shared glory with the Grammy-winning singer and that the star never gave him his due. He now wants the matter settled in the ring.
Speaking in an interview with Yanga FM, Carter said he would not ask for a dime. He even offered the opposite deal. Promoters, he said, should pay Wizkid $1 million to show up and give him nothing.
“They shouldn’t even pay me any money, I swear to God. They should pay Wizkid 1 million dollars and tell him to come fight me,” he said.
He argued that Machala went to number one and made him money, so the two men already share the credit. The grievance, in his telling, is that Wizkid never acknowledged him.
“Me and Wizkid share glory. I dropped Machala, the song entered number 1, but even though I was the one who made money, why didn’t he acknowledge me?”
He added:
“As he didn’t acknowledge me, I decided to stop acknowledging him again.”
Then came the call-out:
“They should bring Wizkid to the chaos in the ring event so we can fight.”
The latest jab sits on an earlier dare. In May 2026, days after beating singer Portable at Chaos in the Ring 4 in Lagos, Carter collected a N50 million prize pledged by businessman Emeka “E-Money” Okonkwo. During a livestream with singer Kcee and E-Money, he named Wizkid as his next target and said he wanted the singer’s son, Boluwatife Balogun, in the building.
Carter has spent years insisting Machala, was a tribute that lifted Wizkid’s profile and that the singer failed to support him afterwards. Wizkid has not answered the old complaints and, as of the Yanga FM interview, had not responded to the boxing challenge either.
