Nollywood actor Kunle Afod has confirmed that an autopsy on late actress Temitope “Tope” Osoba has been completed and that she will be laid to rest on Thursday, September 10, 2026, in Iperu, Ogun State.
In a video shared online, Afod thanked everyone who has been asking after his late colleague and said the investigation is still ongoing.
“To everyone who has been asking about Tope Osoba, I first want to say thank you for the support so far. Well, the people investigating are still investigating. They’ve completed the autopsy that they wanted to do and by Thursday, 10th, they’re going to lay Tope to rest in Iperu.”
The family has released matching burial details. Her body is expected to leave OSUTH Sagamu by 9am. A service will hold from 10am at Akesan Club, opposite Iperu Market, Iperu Remo. Interment will follow immediately at Iperu Remo Cemetery. Mourners have been asked to wear white.

Osoba’s death was announced in early August. An earlier burial date was postponed while questions around her passing continued. Afod’s update is the first clear public word that the autopsy requested during that delay has now been done. The findings have not been made public.
