Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke lit up the studio with his signature dance moves on Channels Television’s Sunday Politics just hours after securing a second term in office.
The popular “Dancing Governor” could not hide his joy when the host asked if he could artistically express how he felt about the reelection victory. Adeleke responded with a simple “You got it” before the familiar beats of his nephew Davido’s hit song “Feel” filled the studio.
He first showed off his moves while still seated, then stood up and delivered the energetic steps that have become his trademark. The light-hearted moment quickly went viral, with clips circulating widely across social media platforms.
INEC had earlier declared Adeleke, the Accord Party candidate, winner of the August 15, 2026, Osun governorship election. He polled 511,067 votes to defeat APC’s Bola Oyebamiji, who scored 444,815 votes, winning in 19 of the state’s 30 local government areas.
During the same interview, Adeleke described the victory as a clear endorsement from the people of Osun and called for unity with the words “no victor, no vanquished.” He also addressed his support for President Bola Tinubu’s 2027 reelection bid, clarifying that it was based on regional considerations rather than any formal agreement.
In another segment, the governor revealed that Davido’s father remains his “adviser without portfolio,” highlighting the close family ties that have long connected the Adelekes to entertainment and politics. Davido himself had celebrated the win earlier with an excited “WE DID IT UNC !!!” post.

Adeleke has always maintained that dancing is both a personal hobby and a way of giving thanks. The Sunday Politics appearance once again showed why many Nigerians still call him the happiest governor in the country. Supporters flooded social media with praise, describing the moment as pure, unfiltered joy after a hard-fought election.
The governor now looks ahead to his second term, promising to deliver more for the people of Osun while staying true to the lively personality that first endeared him to voters.
