How I Knew My Wife Was The One — Blord Reveals

Nigerian businessman Blord has shared an inspiring glimpse into how he recognised his wife as “the one,” offering timeless relationship wisdom that is currently trending across social media. In a recent appearance on the Adult Gist podcast, the successful entrepreneur opened up about the simple yet profound qualities that convinced him she was his perfect match.

Blord met his wife in 2017 and the couple dated for about two years before tying the knot in 2019. What stood out to him most was her non-demanding nature during their courtship.

“I knew my wife was the one when she wasn’t demanding, wasn’t asking for anything. She was cool with being given or not being given. I remember her phone was bad when we met and she never asked me for a new phone while we were dating. I was the one that surprised her with a new phone,” he revealed.

This humility and contentment, according to Blord, spoke volumes about her character and set the foundation for a strong partnership. He advised against rushing into marriage, stressing the importance of careful selection.

“Don’t rush to marry, marriage is not an achievement. Take your time to make your selection. Don’t break ladies’ hearts because one day you’re going to have a daughter and whatever you do to other people’s daughters will be done to yours. Treat women the way you want them to treat your daughter,” Blord warned.

He further noted that age should not be a pressure factor and that no single formula guarantees marital success.

“If you rush into a marriage, you’ll rush out of it. Age doesn’t matter. You can do everything right and still meet the wrong person so I don’t think any book that can be written to perfectly explain marriage. What works for A might not work for B. It’s an individual thing,” he added.

Blord’s story has resonated widely, with many praising his emphasis on genuine connection over material demands. His candid reflections serve as valuable guidance for young people navigating modern dating, reminding everyone that true compatibility often reveals itself in the quiet, everyday moments rather than grand gestures.
