“What You Did Was Bad!” — Funke Akindele Scolds Eniola Badmus

Nollywood superstar Funke Akindele has publicly reprimanded her close friend and colleague Eniola Badmus for her heated online clash with a makeup artist, reminding her to stop fighting and abusing people publicly.

The drama began when Eniola Badmus took to social media to vent her frustration after a makeup artist allegedly failed to show up for a major booked event despite multiple reminders. In her outburst, Badmus reportedly shared the artist’s phone number and called on her fans to drag the professional.

The makeup artist later responded, explaining that no advance payment was made and that her business policy required confirmed bookings with deposits before honouring engagements. She added that she did not initially want to reply but the volume of threats and calls became overwhelming.

In a video shared on her Snapchat, Funke Akindele was seen playfully but firmly correcting Eniola during a visit.

Badosky, why were you misbehaving online? I have told you to stop fighting and abusing people online. What you did is totally wrong. If you can’t let me correct you, don’t visit me. What you did to that woman was bad. I am going to fight for her.”

The moment has sparked widespread reactions online, with many praising Funke for using her influence to promote accountability and better conflict resolution among celebrities. Others criticised Eniola for allegedly exposing the makeup artist’s personal contact, arguing it crossed professional boundaries and invited unnecessary harassment.

Despite the public scolding, the long-standing friendship between Funke Akindele and Eniola Badmus remains one of the most admired in Nollywood. The duo has consistently celebrated each other’s milestones and supported one another through various challenges over the years.

This latest incident highlights the growing conversation around celebrity behaviour on social media, the responsibilities that come with large platforms, and the importance of handling professional disappointments privately to avoid harming small business owners.
