Veteran Nollywood actress Rita Edochie has launched a scathing attack on Judy Austin, Yul Edochie’s second wife, questioning who paid her to destroy May Edochie’s marriage while slamming her for accusing others of the same.
In a strongly worded statement, Rita reacted to Judy’s recent claim that people paid her ex-husband, Obasi, to scatter her home. The veteran actress did not hold back as she highlighted what she described as hypocrisy and double standards.
“DID I HEAR THEY PAID MR OBASI TO SCATTER HER HOME? PLEASE, WHICH HOME EXACTLY? THE ONE THAT WAS COVETED? THE STOLEN HOME? A HOME BUILT ON ANOTHER WOMAN’S PAIN AND TEARS? A HOME WITH A FOUNDATION OF LIES, DECEIT, AND ADULTERY? A HOME WITH A HYPNOTIZED INNOCENT HUSBAND? WHICH HOME EXACTLY, I ASK AGAIN?”
Rita then turned the question back on Judy:
“EVEN IF THAT IS THE CASE, THEN WHO PAID YOU TO SCATTER QUEEN MAY YUL EDOCHIE’S HOME? A HOME THAT BLOSSOMED IN PEACE, LOVE, AND HARMONY. A HOME THAT STOOD AS A TESTAMENT TO COMMITMENT, SACRIFICE, AND FAMILY VALUES. YOU STEPPED IN THROUGH THE WINDOW AND MADE YOURSELF A WEAPON OF MATRIMONIAL DESTRUCTION!”
The outspoken actress expressed disappointment at public support for Judy while many troll Obasi for speaking out.
“WHAT BAFFLES ME THE MOST IS HOW SOME MEN AND WOMEN HAVE COMPLETELY LOST THEIR CONSCIENCE. THEY KEEP TROLLING MR OBASI FOR SPEAKING UP… YOUR CONSCIENCES HAVE BECOME DEAD AND PARALYSED.”
Rita warned those supporting Judy:
“IF YOU ARE SUPPORTING HER IN THE SILENCING OF MR OBASI, THERE IS NO DOUBT THAT YOU ARE PRODUCTS, PARTS AND PARCELS OF POLYGAMY, DEHUMANISATION, ADULTERY AND INJUSTICE.”
This latest outburst adds to Rita Edochie’s consistent defence of May Edochie since Yul’s controversial second marriage. She has repeatedly referred to May as her daughter and positioned herself as a fierce protector against what she considers homewrecking.
The ongoing family drama between the Edochies continues to generate massive conversations online, with public opinion sharply divided between the two sides.
