In a strongly worded Instagram video, Judy dismissed Obasi’s claims as false and contradictory, while defending her relationship timeline with Yul Edochie.
“I met Chief Yul Edochie on a movie set in 2016 for the very first time. Up until that time, I had no interest even in acting.”
Judy insisted her marriage to Obasi ended in 2012, contradicting his earlier claim of March 2013. She emphasised that she met Yul three years after the marriage had ended.
“This same man made a video and said that my marriage to him ended in March 2013. I left him in 2012… I met Yul Edochie three years after my marriage to this man had ended.”
The actress accused her ex-husband of being paid to tarnish her image and drag Yul into their personal issues. She warned him to prepare to defend his allegations in court.
“Because the court of law is where you have to defend everything you’ve ever said beyond a reasonable doubt… All the lies you’ve paraded against my family and me, you will defend in court.”
She also addressed claims that she restricted Obasi’s access to their children, revealing the kids lived with her parents for five years before she relocated them to Enugu in 2018. Judy praised Yul Edochie for stepping up as a father figure, paying school fees, and providing shelter for the children.
“He has helped me to be a father figure in their lives. Put the roof over their heads. Pay their school fees, feed them… You people should praise him for being a kind and awesome man.”
This latest fiery exchange adds fresh fuel to the long-running public drama surrounding Judy Austin, Yul Edochie, and the messy aftermath of their union, which has continued to generate massive conversations in the Nollywood space.
