Nigerian singer Peruzzi has stirred massive reactions online after revealing he ghosted his girlfriend of seven years immediately after linking up with superstar Davido, as he got carried away by the sudden glamorous lifestyle.
The DMW signee made the candid admission during a conversation with media personalities Falz, VJ Adams, and Tope Olowoniyan. He described how meeting Davido instantly transformed his reality and priorities.
He said:
“When I met Davido, I ghosted my girlfriend of 7 years.”
He explained that the rapid change in his circumstances left little room for his previous relationship.
“I didn’t text her or nothing, I was with my guys enjoying life.”
Peruzzi painted a vivid picture of the whirlwind experience:
“First of all, I just met Davido, imagine this. You just met Davido. You met him today, tomorrow you are on a flight to Dubai. The next day you’re on a flight to Lebanon. I don’t understand, I’m calling who?”
When asked why he didn’t at least inform his girlfriend about the exciting developments, Peruzzi responded,
“Why do you think, why, why, why? I’m enjoying something that has never happened to me in my life!”
VJ Adams jokingly reminded him that his girlfriend was patiently waiting, to which Peruzzi jokingly replied, “She won’t die now.”
