“Discipline Yourself!” — Etinosa Slams Men Using Solomon To Justify Cheating

Etinosa Idemudia Cries Out as Her New Film ‘Secret Keeper’ Gets Taken Off YouTube Over Copyright Claim

Nollywood actress Etinosa Idemudia has ignited a fiery debate after slamming Nigerian men for frequently citing King Solomon to justify multiple relationships while ignoring the biblical story of the Samaritan woman at the well.

The outspoken star shared her views in a video that quickly went viral on social media. She accused men of cherry-picking scripture to excuse what she described as wayward behaviour.

“Nigerian men are so quick to talk about Solomon. Anytime they want to justify their waywardness, they always mention King Solomon in the Bible but they’ll never talk about the woman with six husbands.”

She referenced the encounter between Jesus Christ and the Samaritan woman, noting how Jesus engaged with her despite her history.

“Jesus Christ asked a woman that had been married to almost seven men for water and told her that out of her belly shall flow rivers of living water despite the number of men she had already been with.”

Etinosa argued for fairness in relationships.

“Jesus Christ approved that woman’s life. Marry as many times as you want! What is good for the goose is also good for the gander. Men, discipline yourself—leave King Solomon alone.”

The actress’s comments have triggered strong reactions online, with many accusing her of misinterpreting the Bible. Critics pointed out that while the Samaritan woman had five husbands and was living with a man who was not her husband, Jesus offered her redemption rather than approval of her lifestyle. Supporters, however, praise her for challenging what they see as double standards in discussions about fidelity and multiple partners.
