Former Migos rapper Offset was shot on Monday evening outside the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida. The incident took place in the valet area shortly after 7 p.m., leaving the artist with non-life-threatening injuries.

A representative for the rapper confirmed the news and provided an update on his condition.

“We can confirm Offset was shot and is currently at the hospital receiving medical care. He is stable and being closely monitored.”

Seminole Police responded immediately to the scene. Authorities detained two individuals in connection with the shooting, and investigations remain ongoing. Police emphasized that the situation was contained quickly, with no ongoing threat to the public. The injured individual, identified as Offset, was transported to Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood for treatment.

Offset, whose real name is Kiari Kendrell Cephus, rose to fame as one third of the chart-topping Atlanta trio Migos alongside Quavo and the late Takeoff. The group dominated hip-hop with hits like “Bad and Boujee” and helped define the trap sound of the 2010s. Takeoff’s tragic death in a 2022 shooting in Houston remains a painful chapter for the hip-hop community, adding weight to concerns surrounding this latest incident.

The 33-year-old artist has maintained a high-profile solo career since Migos’ hiatus and shares three children with ex-wife Cardi B, from whom he finalized a divorce in 2024 after years of a very public relationship.

News of the shooting spread rapidly across social media, prompting an outpouring of support from fans, fellow artists, and industry figures. Many expressed relief upon learning his injuries were not life-threatening and wished him a swift recovery.

As of the time of writing this report, no further details about the motive or circumstances leading to the shooting have been released, and authorities continue their work.
