Self-styled relationship therapist Blessing Okoro, known as Blessing CEO, has hit back at critics and donors demanding refunds after she admitted to exaggerating details of her breast cancer battle. In a defiant Instagram live session, she dismissed accusations of scamming and insisted that all contributions were given freely out of love.

Blessing CEO addressed the backlash unapologetically.

“Those people that are saying, ‘Oh Blessing, you scammed us, refund my money,’ a lot of the people making noise did not give me one naira.”

She explained that she had publicly asked for help during a difficult time and received voluntary support.

“It’s love. It’s not my fault that people love me. I needed help. I came out, I cried for help, and I got the help that I needed.”

She reminded supporters that donations were not forced.

“If you don’t want to give, keep your money in your bank account. I did not carry gun and put it on your head to give me your own. You gave it out of your free will and out of love.”

Blessing CEO also rejected calls for receipts or proof of how the funds were used.

“I don’t need to come and start showing you receipts or showing you this or showing you that.”

Defending her decade-long presence on social media, she argued that she has earned the loyalty she receives.

“I’ve been on social media for 10 years. I’ve given my intellect, I’ve given love, I’ve given money. Everything that I am getting, I deserve it.”

When accused of being shameless, she replied bluntly,

“You should have known that about me long ago. I don’t have shame.”

Blessing CEO further boasted about the strength of her brand.

“Even if I paste my account number now on this live video, people will still dash me money. Go and build a brand for yourself. You are the brand.”

Blessing made an earlier admission during a live session with Daddy Freeze, where she confessed to exaggerating her stage 4 breast cancer claim.
