Nollywood actor Ibrahim Yekini, popularly known as Itele, has shared an inspiring grass-to-grace testimony on his Instagram page, declaring himself living proof that humble beginnings do not determine one’s future. The motivational post came just days after he acquired a multimillion-naira mansion in Lekki, Lagos, marking a major milestone in his remarkable rise.

In the heartfelt message, Itele reflected on his roots in Agbado Crossing.
“That boy from Agbado Crossing… No silver spoon, no shortcuts—just dreams bigger than his environment. Today, the same boy is living proof that where you start doesn’t define where you’ll end up.”
He urged his fans and followers to remain determined:
“Stay focused… keep digging.”
Itele’s story is one of resilience forged through hardship. In an earlier interview, he revealed that his pre-fame struggles were so severe they nearly cost him his life. He once sold jewellery at Bauchi village to survive and credited two key figures, Papa T and senior colleague Femi Adebayo, for stepping in to help him during those difficult times.
In a previous Instagram reflection, he looked back at how far he had come:

He also ranked among the Top 10 YouTube creators in Nigeria, expressing gratitude to his “Koleoso family” for believing in the vision and pushing it forward.
