Nollywood actor Uzor Arukwe has directly addressed swirling online speculation that his professional collaboration with BBNaija star Bambam contributed to tension in her marriage with Teddy A. In a recent interview with BBC Igbo, the 42-year-old star, popularly known as Odogwu Paranran, explained the precautions he took and insisted the rumors are entirely false.
The controversy gained momentum earlier this year after Bambam and Teddy A unfollowed each other on Instagram, sparking widespread divorce rumors. Social media users quickly linked the alleged strain to Arukwe and Bambam’s on-screen romance in a recently released film, with some claiming the pair had become romantically involved off-set or that Bambam was even pregnant by him. Arukwe had previously threatened legal action against specific accounts spreading those claims in February 2026.
Speaking in the interview, Arukwe revealed he had never met Bambam before they worked together on the project.
“That movie was the first time I had ever met her,” he stated clearly. To ensure respect for her marriage, he took an extra step before any intimate scenes: “Before I touched her, I asked her if there was any way I could touch her that her husband wouldn’t like or that might cause problems at home.”
He emphasized that the interaction remained strictly professional throughout filming. “People started saying we slept together and were dating, which was completely false,” Arukwe added, expressing frustration that the movie’s release had fueled baseless gossip.
Arukwe’s latest comments come as Bambam and Teddy A continue to face public scrutiny over their relationship status. The actor stressed that his only involvement with Bambam was work-related and that he took deliberate steps to respect her personal life.
