Intentional Investments: Tonto Dikeh Buys Son Duplex

Nollywood actress and philanthropist Tonto Dikeh has opened up about the motivation behind gifting her son a N350 million duplex to celebrate his 10th birthday, describing the move as part of a deliberate plan to build long-term wealth and security for her family.

Speaking after the widely talked-about birthday gesture, the actress explained that property investment has become a core part of her parenting and financial philosophy.

“Over the years, I’ve been intentional about investing in properties for both myself and my child, building a legacy that will stand the test of time,” she said.

According to her, the luxury duplex represents not just a birthday present but a strategic step toward generational stability. She added that she feels grateful for the opportunity to expand her property portfolio once again.

The actress also described the transaction as one of the most seamless she has handled, praising the professionalism of those involved in the process.

The lavish gift is only the latest in a series of headline-making birthday surprises for her son, King Andre. In previous years, she reportedly gifted him a real-life star and also secured two acres of land in his name, making him one of the youngest cashew plantation owners at the time.

Celebrations for the milestone birthday were equally grand. Dikeh shared family moments alongside her former partner Olakunle Churchill, as both parents publicly expressed gratitude and prayers for their son’s future.

The spiritual tone of the celebration continued when clergyman Pastor Jerry Eze offered prayers and anointing for the celebrant.

To round off the festivities, the family hosted a football-themed party filled with games and cheering guests at BMO Event Centre, turning the birthday into a full-scale celebration of family, faith and legacy.

With her latest move, Dikeh has reinforced her public message that wealth building, not luxury spending, is the foundation of how she chooses to celebrate milestones in her son’s life.
