Nigerian music superstar Davido is still speaking out as emotions continue to run high over his ongoing custody dispute involving his daughter, Imade Adeleke.
The singer took to social media again, venting frustration over what he described as attempts to disrupt his peace, especially during Valentine’s season.
“Useless pple wan spoil my Valentines! NEVER !!!” he wrote.
The latest reaction comes shortly after reports of a heated moment during court proceedings in Yaba. According to lawyer Maruf Muhammed, the singer allegedly lost his cool during cross-examination, creating tension in the courtroom.
Addressing the situation online, Davido clarified his legal intentions. He insisted he never sought full custody but only joint custody of his daughter. He also revealed he has now decided to drop the case.
Despite stepping back legally, he left a strong emotional message directed at his child. He said she would grow up knowing he fought for her.
In a deeply personal claim, Davido accused the legal team representing Sophia Momodu of invoking the memory of his late son, Ifeanyi Adeleke, as part of their strategy against him. The accusation has added another emotional layer to an already sensitive family dispute.
The legal conflict dates back to 2024, when Davido filed a lawsuit seeking joint custody, alleging he had been denied access to his daughter and pressured financially, claims Sophia Momodu denied.
She later opposed the joint custody request, raising concerns about his ability to parent independently, referencing past family tragedy among other reasons.
Despite the legal tension, the pair have shared brief public moments of unity. Last year, they reunited for their daughter’s 10th birthday, their first appearance together in three years, posing for photos while keeping visible distance.
Earlier, Davido had also celebrated reconnecting with Imade, calling the reunion the best day of his life.
