I’m Lover Boy, Not Womanizer – 2Baba Claims

Nigerian music legend Innocent Idibia, 2Baba has addressed long-standing public assumptions about his personal life, insisting he is not a womanizer but simply someone who loves deeply.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with the Voice of Nigeria, the award-winning singer described himself as straightforward and emotional when it comes to love, fatherhood, and family.

Addressing what he called the biggest misunderstanding about him, 2Baba said:

“The biggest misconception about me is that I’m a womanizer. I like women; I’m just straightforward. But I’m a lover boy. I love hard.”

The music icon also spoke candidly about fatherhood, revealing that balancing his career with raising his children has been one of his greatest personal struggles.

“I have eight kids now. I feel blessed and happy, but the sadness comes from the fact that I haven’t gotten to spend the type of time I should have spent with them collectively. It does something to me sometimes.”

Despite the emotional weight, he described his children as a constant source of pride and joy.

“They’re amazing, brilliant people. I just wish I was there more. It touches me from all corners.”

2Baba also responded to public narratives about his wife, Natasha, particularly claims that she is controlling or heavily influences his decisions. He dismissed such suggestions, praising her strength and intelligence.

“Everybody has a say in everybody’s business now. Sometimes people say very nasty things. Reality is reality, she’s a brilliant woman, a strong woman.”

Away from fame and the spotlight, the singer revealed a quieter side of himself, explaining that he is naturally shy despite decades of global performances.

“My profession doesn’t permit me to be shy, but I’m actually a very shy person. Sometimes I just want to be alone and chill… I like nature; I have my moments.”

The candid conversation offers fans a rare glimpse into the emotional life of one of Africa’s most celebrated music stars, beyond fame, headlines, and public perception.
