Veteran Nigerian singer Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, has opened up about the circumstances surrounding his highly publicized disagreement with his wife, Natasha Osawaru, in London, an incident that led to his arrest in October 2025.
Speaking during a recent episode of the Mic On podcast, hosted by Seun Okinbaloye, the music icon reflected on the episode with honesty, admitting that his actions were driven by anger and emotional pressure.
“I was angry that day. It was an unfortunate incident,” 2Baba said.
The award-winning artiste explained that juggling personal struggles alongside the demands of a public life has often taken a toll on him, leading to moments he now wishes he had handled differently.
According to the singer, emotional strain can cloud judgment, especially when stress accumulates over time.
“There are so many things I wish I could rewind and do better. As a human being, there are times when you are overwhelmed or don’t make the best decisions,” he stated.
2Baba added that the experience marked a turning point in how he now views conflict and emotional control, noting that he no longer reacts the way he once did.
“My thick-skin is weaker now,” he said, suggesting a deeper level of self-awareness and vulnerability.
The singer stressed that difficult moments like the London incident have forced him to reassess his choices, teaching him valuable lessons about accountability, restraint, and personal growth.
His comments have since sparked conversations online, with fans and observers praising his willingness to take responsibility while reflecting on the pressures faced by public figures behind closed doors.
