Nollywood actress Angela Okorie has made a dramatic U-turn in her long-running feud with colleague Mercy Johnson, publicly apologizing and calling for peace.
In an emotional video shared on her Instagram page, the actress admitted she is “not a perfect being” and said she regrets the hurtful words and accusations she made in the past.
“I am not a perfect being, so this video is specifically for Mercy, her kids and family,” Angela began.
The actress explained that gossip and third-party narratives fueled the tension between them over the years.
“While in the industry, a lot of people were telling me about Mercy Johnson and others were badmouthing me to her… I am no longer listening to that cheap gossip,” she said.
Angela made it clear that she no longer wants drama and is focused on her personal growth and business.
“At this age, I don’t think this is what I want. The only thing I want is to run a business,” she stated.
In a direct message to Mercy Johnson, Angela said:
“You’re not a witch; you aren’t what people are calling you. This is to say ‘I am sorry.’”
She also reflected on the future of their families, urging reconciliation for the sake of their children.
“We don’t know where our kids will meet each other tomorrow, and they can be best of friends, and we mothers can’t stop them from being friends. I am so sorry.”
Angela further addressed the public perception that she is troublesome.
“Forgive Legit Queen, I am not a troublesome person. I am the sweetest soul you can see or meet in your life. I am deeply sorry.”
Revealing that they have already spoken privately, Angela said the conversation happened through another colleague.
“When we spoke on Uju’s phone, and you apologised to me, I accepted it wholeheartedly. I have nothing against you, and I love you.”
She ended her message with prayers and well wishes for Mercy Johnson.
“I pray God blesses you and lifts you higher, IJN.”

The apology comes after years of public tension between the two actresses, marking what appears to be a fresh start in their relationship.
