Seun Kuti Slams Wizkid Over Fela Tattoo

The heated online clash between Wizkid and Seun Kuti has taken a fresh turn, as the Afrobeat singer publicly demanded that Wizkid remove the tattoo of his late father, Fela Anikulapo-Kuti.

Seun made the call during a live video on Wednesday, addressing Wizkid directly amid their escalating social media dispute.

“Wizkid remove my father’s (Fela Kuti) tattoo on your arm and replace it with your father’s head,” Seun said.

He went further, accusing the singer of carrying resentment while wearing the image of a man he claims to admire.

“You have Fela Kuti’s tattoo on your body, but you carry beef in your heart. There’s a difference between being inspired and trying to replace,” he added.

According to Seun, Wizkid’s actions go beyond admiration and cross into rivalry with the late Afrobeat icon.

“WizKid’s real dream is to replace Fela,” he declared, adding that the Kuti family no longer holds the singer in high regard. “Nobody in my family rates you again.”

The disagreement originally began after Seun criticised Wizkid’s fanbase, Wizkid FC, for comparing the Grammy-winning star to Fela Kuti. Seun repeatedly warned fans to “keep Fela’s name out of your mouths,” describing such comparisons as disrespectful to his father’s legacy.

Wizkid later fired back with a series of posts and videos online, escalating the feud. In one viral post, he wrote, “I Big pass your papa. Wetin you won do? Fool at 40.”

The exchange has since divided fans across social media, with some backing Wizkid’s confidence and others insisting Fela Kuti’s cultural and political impact remains unmatched.

As reactions continue to pour in, the feud between Wizkid and the Kuti family shows no sign of slowing down.
